Kaicho David Farzinzad was the youngest student of Sosai Mas Oyama(founder of Kyokushin Karate), to receive 5th dan and the title of Kyoshi(which is usually given to masters with 7th dan).He has been devoted to Kyokushin Karate since childhood and loyal to his teacher Mas Oyama til his death in 1994, after which different high ranking students established their independent Kyokushin Karate organizations. Kaicho founded International Kyokushinkai Union (IKU) to preserve the fundemental values of Kyokushin Karate and to create a Kyokushin family that all members have mutual respect for each other and share ideas, knowledge and support each other, making each other stronger....a true brotherhood...ONE FOR ALL AND ALL FOR ONE. We in IKU encourage our members to interact with and support all Kyokushin Karate practitioners with out prejudice to affiliations, race, nationality or gender. We invite all Martial Artists especially Kyokushin Karate practitioners to come and train with us, and would participate in their tournaments if they are willing to allow us.
